UPDATE: Annabelle 3 is later released with the title “Annabelle Comes Home” which is a sequel to 2014’s Annabelle and 2017’s Annabelle: Creation.

For all of us who are huge fans of The Conjuring movie franchise, here is the good news Annabelle 3 is coming in 2019. This we reported earlier this year – More to the Annabelle story – A Sequel to Creation.

As per a press release by New Line Cinema, the production has started, and the film is projected to be released by July 3, 2019. It is a sequel to Annabelle: Creation, which itself is a prequel to the first Conjuring movie.

In the extended Conjuring movie franchise, THE NUN happens to be the most successful grossing some $359 million worldwide, although it received mixed reviews from the critics. The franchise has so far grossed over $1.5 billion globally.

Nevertheless, the success of the ‘Nun’ will definitely push production for a few more, including the upcoming Annabelle 3. The writer of Annabelle movies and ‘The Nun’, Gary Dauberman is making his directorial debut with this film.

The film is going to be the sixth film under the Conjuring Universe and this will bring back the evil doll and paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, as the story will yet again revolve around the possessed doll and the demonologists.

Actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles while child actor McKenna Grace will be featured as Judy, the daughter of the Warrens – who will be the primary target of the doll.

So far in the Conjuring films, we have seen that the doll is kept inside a glass box in the Warrens’ occult museum. There are many stories written around the claims made about Annabelle by the Warrens and this film is supposedly based on one such incident, as per the plot below.

Annabelle Comes Home (2019) – Plot Outline
