Dhoom 3 – Teaser and more

Dhoom 3 - Hindi-language action thriller film

Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dhoom 3, which is slated to release on December 20, 2013, on the occasion of Diwali, is probably going to be the highest grosser of this year. Although Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express has so far broken all box office records with over Rs. 200 crores of business, Dhoom 3 is believed to have all ingredients to even cross the targeted business.

The trailer/teaser of the film, released recently, has created a huge buzz as it shows Aamir Khan in a never-seen-before look. In the third movie of the Dhoom series Aamir plays the villain (for the first time in an out-and-out antagonist role) while Abhishek Bachchan returns to play the cop (ACP Jai Dixit), chasing the super villain along with his sidekick Uday Chopra (as Ali).

Produced on a whooping budget of 150 crores, the film is expected to do good business as it promises its audience a good script, cutting-edge action sequences under the banner of Yash Raj Film (YRF), a successful Dhoom 3 franchise, and, of course, the Aamir Khan – Katrina Kaif pair.

In the earlier two films Dhoom and Dhoom2, John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan played the con men respectively and have left much onscreen impact. Aamir Khan certainly wants to set his mark in the franchise and hence he has undergone special training for a well-built physique, dance, and action sequences. Interestingly, Dhoom 3 is also going to be the first Hindi film to be released in IMAX format.
