The film is scheduled for a March 29, 2019 release. ‘Unplanned’ is the true story of a woman’s journey of transformation and how she becomes an anti-abortion crusader. Her story is inspiring for many as abortion is indeed a topic everyone must think about. It is now an industry where the focus is more on making money.
In an earlier interview, Abby Johnson mentioned about how she witnessed an ultrasound-guided abortion where she learned that there is life inside a woman’s womb and the baby is forcefully killed. She experienced how an unborn child was killed before her eyes on an ultrasound monitor. This is certainly wrong, immoral and unethical when we think of life. That episode in her life jolted her completely and eventually changed her for the right reason.
Johnson is played by Ashley Bratcher in the film. We will learn more about ‘Unplanned’ when it hits theater on March 29.
All Abby Johnson ever wanted to do was help women. As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices. Her passion surrounding a woman’s right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, fighting to enact legislation for the cause she so deeply believed in. But this was until the day she saw something that changed everything, leading Abby Johnson to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life, and become one of the most ardent pro-life speakers in America.
