Caveat, Superdeep, Vicious Fun (Trailers) - Premiere on Shudder

Horror-themed streaming service provider Shudder has recently announced the availability of three promising horror films on its platform. From a serial killer plot to an underwater adventure, and then a story around a strange job of babysitting in a house of secrets, these three movies promise a lot more scares and screams.

Let’s check out the trailer and storyline of these films.

CAVEAT – Premieres on June 3

Directed by Damien Mc Carthy and featuring Jonathan French, Leila Sykes, and Ben Caplan, “Cavet” is a cat and mouse psychological-supernatural thriller set in a rural house where a babysitter makes a series of creepy discoveries.

Synopsis

Lone drifter Isaac accepts a job to look after his landlord’s niece, Olga, for a few days in an isolated house on a remote island. It seems like easy money, but there’s a catch: he must wear a leather harness and chain that restricts his movements to certain rooms. Once Olga’s uncle, Barrett leaves the two of them alone, a game of cat and mouse ensues as Olga displays increasingly erratic behavior as a trapped Isaac makes a series of horrific discoveries in the house.

SUPERDEEP – Premieres on June 17

The first one is a Russian supernatural adventure feature “Superdeep” (Kolskaya sverhglubokaya) from the director Arseniy Sukhin, and Starring Milena Radulovic, Sergey Ivanyuk, Nikolay Kovbas, Kirill Kovbas, and Nikita Dyuvbanov.

Synopsis

The Kola Superdeep borehole is the largest Russian secret facility. In 1984, at the depth of more than 7 miles below the surface, unexplained sounds were recorded, resembling the screams and moans of numerous people. Since these events, the object has been closed. A small research team of scientists and military personnel had gone down below the surface to find out the secret that the world’s deepest borehole was hiding. What they have found poses the greatest threat that humanity has ever faced. Now the future of the world is in their hands.

Do you remember the intense and bloody action thriller Revenge? This was also a Shudder exclusive that was later streamed on Netflix.

VICIOUS FUN – Premieres on June 29

Director Cody Calahan’s “Vicious Fun” smart and funny horror setup introduces us to not just one but a group of serial killers. The trailer below shows some laughs, scares, and bloodshed, but is this going to be a rip-off of any slasher we have watched so far? Or will this successfully offer a mix of horror and humor, as the title suggests?

Synopsis

Joel, a caustic 1980’s film critic for a national horror magazine, finds himself unwittingly trapped in a self-help group for serial killers. With no other choice, Joel attempts to blend in with his homicidal surroundings or risk becoming the next victim.
