ROGUE – Mercenary Megan Fox fights a ferociously dangerous lion
Directed by MJ Bassett, this action thriller starring Megan Fox and a group of international actors follows the story of an extraction mission that seems more than what it looks. TESLA – A much-awaited biopic on the brilliant inventor
Michael Almereyda’s biographical drama Tesla stars Ethan Hawke as Nikola Tesla and Kyle MacLachlan as Thomas Edison. Hopefully, we will get to see the life, his struggle, groundbreaking inventions, and of course, the tussle of ideas – his alternating current design vs. Edison’s direct current model. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27 and is scheduled for an August 21 release.

Brilliant, visionary Nikola Tesla (Ethan Hawke) fights an uphill battle to bring his revolutionary electrical system to fruition, then faces thornier challenges with his new system for worldwide wireless energy. The film tracks Tesla’s uneasy interactions with his fellow inventor Thomas Edison (Kyle MacLachlan) and his patron George Westinghouse (Jim Gaffigan). Another thread traces Tesla’s sidewinding courtship of financial titan J.P. Morgan (Donnie Keshawarz), whose daughter Anne (Eve Hewson) takes a more than casual interest in the inventor. Anne analyzes and presents the story as it unfolds, offering a distinctly modern voice to this scientific period drama which, like its subject, defies convention.

HOW TO FAKE A WAR – A dark comedy where a pop star fakes a war for a PR stunt
The trailer for How to Fake A War looks like a satirical or dark comedy, but the whole idea of a pop star trying to fake a war between two nations for self-promotion or PR stunt seems bizarre. Nevertheless, we would like to see where the story actually heads, even though it sounds crazy in the beginning. The film is coming out on August 21.
