Paul Feig’s “Last Christmas” is all set for a November release and the trailer is here. In the movie trailer, we hear Emilia Clarke singing one of the most popular songs of the Wham! era and it makes us nostalgic.

The Game Of Thrones star Emilia stars alongside Henry Golding and Michelle Yeoh in this romantic-comedy that follows a young woman Kate who has been unlucky in many instances of her life and now works as an elf in a department store during Christmas holidays. However, her life is about to take a turn when she meets Tom (Golding) who is too good to be true for her.

Here is the movie trailer for “Last Christmas”

Official Synopsis

Kate (Emilia Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jingle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snowfall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart … and you gotta have faith.

Inspired by the George Michael song, “Last Christmas” would feature the music of the late iconic pop singer, including the holiday classic title song and a few brand new unreleased tracks of the legendary singer.

“Last Christmas” by Wham!

The song is a Christmas classic produced and written by George Michael. The song was released by pop duo Wham! (George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley).

While the song has a festival theme, the lyrics are more about a broken relationship, a betrayed love, and less about Christmas.

In the video of the song, we see George and Andrew meeting their girlfriends at a ski resort. Andrew is dating a girl, who was earlier in love with George. The song refers to her, George’s previous love interest.

The movie “Last Christmas” is based on the festival theme, and it was earlier reported that George Michael was aware of the concept of this movie, before his death in 2016.
