Stallone Comes Home With ‘Rambo: Last Blood’ (TRAILER)

Stallone comes home with Rambo Last Blood

Almost four decades after the first Rambo movie First Blood (1982) that followed four chapters, Sylvester Stallone is back as the action star John Rambo with the fifth and final chapter of the film series — Rambo: Last Blood.

Directed by Adrian Grunberg, Rambo: Last Blood releases on September 20, 2019. Like most of the earlier films in the series, Stallone has also co-written the screenplay of the film, where the storyline is based on the characters by David Morrell.

The trailer looks slick and promising with intense action elements as we expect in any of the Stallone movies. Whether or not the storyline will have something interesting and unique away from the Taken zone is something we would like to see.

Considering the portrayal and the history of the film series, we certainly need the most appropriate ending of the franchise. No matter, such films rely more on the heroics of the character and the action, but we certainly need something that is more than just a remembrance of the past.

Yes, we see the trailer and posters of Rambo: Last Blood referring a lot to the first Rambo movie, the First Blood, but that was with great characterization and story. And we expect the same here.

An ex-Green Beret haunted by memories of Vietnam, the legendary fighting machine is known as Rambo has freed POWs, rescued his commanding officer from the Soviets, and liberated missionaries in Myanmar. RAMBO: LAST BLOOD marks the last chapter of the legendary series, as Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills for one final mission.

As we know, Sylvester Stallone had once told that he is not coming back as Rocky Balboa after Creed II, even though it is his most favorite character. Well, that news is old now and we might even see another Rocky-branded movie soon.

Rocky (1976) kicked off the franchise and we have seen the character development in the last 8 films. Similarly, there is certainly more story around another of Stallone’s 1980s iconic roles as in John Rambo.

Like the ‘Rocky’ film series, Rambo also has its fan-following with as many as four films that started from First Blood (1982) and the previous one being Rambo (2008). It was reported earlier in September 2018 that nothing is over for Stallone and Rambo.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019) is going to be the fifth film in the franchise, where Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Vietnam War veteran John Rambo. It is a sequel to the 2008-released film and as per the storyline so far revealed with the trailer, Rambo is up to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.
