Few filmmakers balance intricate detail and emotional depth quite like Guillermo del Toro, the visionary mind behind Pan’s Labyrinth and The Shape of Water. His adaptation of Frankenstein captures both the isolation and yearning at the heart of Shelley’s novel while immersing viewers in a world of dread, beauty, and elemental horror.

Mia Goth is outstanding as Elizabeth, while Jacob Elordi delivers a heart-stealing turn as the Monster, embodying Del Toro’s deeply human vision of creation and loneliness.
