CHERRY (Teaser Trailer): From Russo Brothers and Tom Holland

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming crime drama CHERRY is expected to hit theaters on February 26th and to AppleTV on March 12th, and we have got the first glimpse of the film.

Based on Nico Walker’s novel of the same name, Tom Holland (In the Heart of the Sea) plays the lead as an army medic with PTSD who after returning home from the Middle East falls into the trap of drug addiction and starts robbing banks to pay for the addiction.

In the teaser trailer, we see Tom Holland in the titular character Cherry getting interviewed by an army recruiter. Holland tells him how he is heartbroken after breaking up with his girlfriend and hence in search of a sense of purpose in life. The recruiter seems amused but Cherry is accepted.

This was a very short clip but enough to introduce the character. This is expected to be an interesting project and a big follow-up from the director duo after the Avengers: Endgame.

As per reports, Russo Brothers are alsoworking on a live-action remake of the Disney classic Hercules, and a modern version of A Christmas Carol.

Besides reteaming up with his Avengers directors, Holland will also feature in an upcoming science-fiction fantasy adventure Chaos Walking based on Patrick Ness’ best-selling of the same name. The film is scheduled for a March 5, 2021 release.
