‘The Old Guard’ is Netflix’s latest comic book driven superhero film set for a July 10 release. The film is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, and Chiwetel Ejiofor in prominent roles.
Based on a graphic novel from author Greg Rucka and artist Leandro Fernandez, ‘The Old Guard’ follows four immortal warriors who have secretly protected humanities, fighting in the shadows, for which they have been targeted for their mysterious power to heal themselves, and now fighting to protect their identity and freedom.

Forever is harder than it looks. Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die has fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (Kiki Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary.
