Actor Leonardo DiCaprio portrays the mountain man Hugh Glass in Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s action-adventure The Revenant. The survival-revenge saga is set for release later this month (December 25). Leonardo has been either nominated for the best actor or best-supporting actor role four times but never has he come close to the golden statue.
What we can see from the trailer is that The Revenant is beautifully shot and incredibly vicious. Other than DiCaprio, Tom Hardy also plays another 19th-century frontiersman John Fitzgerald who has betrayed Glass and abandoned him. As many of my friends have pointed out, look at the early reviews the film is receiving, if ever Leonardo Dicaprio is going to win Oscar, this is the best shot at it.

Of course, he is an incredible actor, but this time he is collaborating with the director who has already won an Oscar for one of the finest films “Birdman”. Who knows, Alejandro G. Iñárritu might even own one more and Dicaprio his very first Oscars.
