Director Kelly Dolen’s thriller John Doe: Vigilante brings a story of man who takes the law into his own hands to deliver justice to people who are victims of a delayed or feeble justice system. When an ordinary man decides to go against the law in a civilised society, he certainly has to bear criticism for his acts, but on the other hand he might even gain support from likeminded people. John Doe: Vigilante starts with this interesting plot when an ordinary man named John Doe (played by Jamie Bamber) starts killing people one after another in his mission to bring the perpetrators into question for their misdeeds. Frustrated with a failing legal system that continues to allow violent criminals go scot-free, John Doe begins a parallel justice system. By killing criminals he not only asks everyone to stand for others but also inspires a group of copycat vigilantes who starts doing the same in the name of John Doe.
