The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies [final trailer]

When I think of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit saga, I wonder how it is going to end with “Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies”, the last one of the trilogy. The new trailer released on 6th Nov is amazing in giving us glimpses of an epic conclusion to the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, and the Dwarves group.

For all the die-hard Tolkien fans, this film is really special as it is the final installment of the long six-film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

Come December 17, you will yet again experience the magic of filmmaking with this extraordinary fantasy thriller that started some 13 years ago with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

In the previous Hobbit franchise, The Desolation of Smaug, we saw Bilbo and company in their attempt to reclaim a priceless gem – Arkenstone – from the Lonely Mountain of Erebor wakes the Dragon Smaug up, who leaves Erebor and goes berserk in unleashing its rage on the nearby Lake-town.

In the upcoming “The Battle of the Five Armies”, Smaug has been driven out, but there are more eyeing the treasure and land of Erebor than homeless Dwarf King Thorin Oakenshield. However, obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice.

But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth an army of Orcs in an attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed.

Bilbo has to fight for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic battle of orcs, dwarves, elves, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.
