Rush (2013) – Movie Sneak Peek and Trailer

Acclaimed director Ron Howard, with two Academy Awards to his credit (A Beautiful Mind, Frost/Nixon), is back again with Rush throwing insight into the thrill and glamorous world of Formula One.

The film takes you back to the glamorous and sensational golden age of racing and the rivalry between two of the finest sportspersons of the 1970s era: James Hunt and Niki Lauda.

The movie stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers, Thor) as James Hunt and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds, The Bourne Ultimatum) as Niki Lauda.

Rush follows the two personalities on and off the track, their racetrack rivalry and personal life as they go down to the edge of physical and psychological endurance where there is no shortcut to success and no margin of error.

Director Howard is also teaming up with Peter Morgan after Frost/Nixon to deliver an adrenaline rush sports movie. As the story is real, there is certainly much to look forward to. Looking at the 1970s competitive Formula One circuit, when death toll on track was pretty much usual every year, documenting a biopic about two of the greatest rivals is indeed challenging.

On one hand, there is the English popular playboy and roistering ladies man Hunt, and on the other side, you have a self-disciplined Austrian Lauda. Their hot-headed rivalry was always on the talk of the circuit then, and this sports drama Rush will surely prove that there is always more to this sport.
