'Man Finds Tape' Explores Small-Town Secrets and Cosmic Horror in Found-Footage Thriller

The spooky debut feature from Texas-based filmmakers Paul Gandersman and Peter Hall, Man Finds Tape, offers a fresh and unnerving interpretation of the found-footage genre. The story, which is presented as a faux-documentary, revolves around Lucas Page, a content creator whose “Man Finds Tape” YouTube channel becomes popular due to mysterious home videos that he claims are from his childhood.

Lucas and his sister Lynn start an investigation after discovering eerie video of a daylight murder in the small Texas town of Larkin. However, they discover a history of unexplained events and a sinister supernatural phenomenon connected to the local reverend. What starts out as a strange online mystery turns into a full-blown dive into forgotten evils, paranoia, and cosmic horror.

Backed by genre heavyweights Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, and David Lawson Jr., Man Finds Tape blends gritty realism with expansive lore, offering a disturbing, slow-burn horror experience for fans of The Blair Witch Project and The Endless.

This unsettling indie horror is already making waves for its fresh narrative style and chilling atmosphere.
