Desperate to escape his grip, Geena’s world is turned upside down when a couple from New York arrives seeking respite from their city life. Despite the potential dangers, Geena persuades Clyde to let them stay, setting off a chain of events with perilous consequences.

Director’s Insight

Stuart Gatt, delving into the film’s focus on human emotions, highlighted the universality of such themes, noting, “It’s wonderful that a story from Texas gets the same reception everywhere.” When discussing his choice of a dark subject for his debut, Gatt explained his fascination with the darker aspects of human psychology. “American films focus more on positive emotions, but as humans, we struggle and go through different emotions. Maybe my childhood also played a part in picking the subject,” he reflected.
