“Freddy” (Teaser): Kartik Aaryan portrays a shy and psychotic dentist

The teaser of the upcoming Hindi-language thriller “Freddy” just dropped, and it looks interesting with Kartik Aaryan as a lonely and shy dentist named Dr. Freddy Ginwala, whose life is a mystery.

The film “Freddy,” directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films, is described as an edge-of-your-seat thriller.

Freddy Streams exclusively on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar on December 2.

Ahead of the release, the makers of the film have very carefully designed the teaser trailer that shows Kartik Aaryan’s character as “a shy, lonely, honest, naive, innocent, nervous, truthful, repulsive, conscious and inciteful dentist,” but in the next moment, we see someone dragging a dead body, possibly by Dr. Freddy. This is enough to drive curiosity among the viewers to learn more about the storyline.

Does Kartik Aaryan now play a serial killer?

The plot of the film and the teaser both hint that the character is a deranged dentist. Kartik, who is most known for his roles as a lover boy, romantic and humorous parts, and even as an intense reporter (Dhamaka), is trying something new this time. This is a fantastic opportunity for him as an actor because playing such a nuanced and complex role will undoubtedly bring out the best in him.

“Freddy” is Kartik’s first film following the box office triumph of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which broke several box office records and was one of the few Bollywood films to exceed the 100 crore mark. Aside from that, Kartik will next be seen in Shehzada, which will mark his reunion with co-star Kriti Sanon after Luka Chuppi.
