Jesse Eisenberg’s ‘A Real Pain’ In Theaters This Fall

Get ready for what critics call “one of the best films of the year.” A Real Pain, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin, is making its rounds at film festivals, and is scheduled to open in theaters this fall.

Jesse Eisenberg wrote and directed this joyful and humorous film, which has been making waves since its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024.

What’s the film A Real Pain about (Movie Synopsis)?

In A Real Pain, Jesse Eisenberg and Kielan Culkin play estranged cousins David and Benji, who reunited for a tour to Poland in memory of their late Jewish grandmother. Although the goal of the trip was to reconnect them with the roots of their family, it soon becomes a journey of self-discovery as long-buried tensions between them resurface, provoking both reflection and laughter.

With the backdrop of their family’s past, the odd-couple cousins exchange sharp banter and face midlife challenges in a film that skillfully strikes a balance between humor and emotional depth.
