Nicolas Cage Transforms Into a Dark Vigilante in First ‘Spider-Noir’ Trailer

Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir Trailer Drops — Prime Video Sets May 27 Global Premiere

The first official trailer for Spider-Noir has been released, unveiling a bold, noir-inspired take on Marvel’s Spider-Man mythos — and confirming its global streaming launch on Prime Video this May.

Starring Nicolas Cage as gritty lead Ben Reilly, the live-action series places Marvel’s classic Spider-Man Noir character in 1930s New York, where he works as a hard-boiled private investigator wrestling with his past as the city’s lone masked vigilante.

The teaser embraces a dramatic black-and-white aesthetic that channels classic noir cinema while also offering a full-color “True-Hue” version, giving viewers two distinct visual experiences when the series debuts.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, Spider-Noir will premiere first on MGM+’s linear channel in the U.S. on May 25, 2026, and then roll out globally on Prime Video on May 27, making all episodes available at once for binge viewing.

Cage’s character, Ben Reilly, is depicted as a seasoned and troubled investigator in a gritty, Depression-era Manhattan, a stark contrast to the brighter portrayals of Spider-Man in recent film franchises.

The ensemble includes Lamorne Morris as journalist Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li’s Cat Hardy, and Karen Rodriguez as assistant detective Janet, among others.

Early excitement around the trailer suggests Spider-Noir could become one of the most distinctive superhero series of 2026 — blending classic noir storytelling with comic book action and the star power of Nicolas Cage.
