In Nightbitch, Adams portrays a woman who takes a break from her work to care for her young child, only to be undergoing a transformative change. Yoder’s acclaimed 2021 novel serves as the inspiration for the story, which challenges the obligations society places on mothers by fusing feminist ideas with surrealist elements.
Adams and Scoot McNairy, who plays her husband, deliver bold performances in this sharp and poignant tale. Adams, in particular, shines as she embraces the chaos and raw emotion of her character’s struggle.
