Clooney and Pitt Reunite in Crime Thriller "Wolfs" at Venice Film Festival

The much-anticipated Apple Original crime thriller Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 1. The film will have a limited theatrical release on September 20 before being available on streaming platforms the following week.

Jon Watts directs the picture, which reunites Clooney and Pitt after a 23-year on-screen collaboration. The audience inside the Sala Grande applauded Wolfs with a five-minute standing ovation.

What is ‘Wolfs’ movie about?

Wolfs follows Clooney as a professional fixer hired to cover up a high-profile crime. The plot takes an unexpected turn when a second fixer, played by Pitt, arrives, forcing the two “lone wolves” to team up as their night spirals into chaos.

Director Jon Watts describes the film as a return to “street level” filmmaking, blending elements from his favorite genres and influences, from David Mamet-style dialogue to Buster Keaton’s slapstick, all against the backdrop of a snowy New York night.

With a star-studded cast that includes Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, and more, Wolfs promises to be a thrilling ride filled with unexpected twists and cinematic flair.
