Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels brings “The Deliverance” which tells the intense story of Ebony Jackson (Andra Day), a single mother who moves her family into a new home hoping for a fresh start. But things quickly take a dark turn as mysterious forces threaten her family and put her to the ultimate test.

“The Deliverance” streams on Netflix on Aug. 30

The film explores Ebony’s fight against eerie occurrences that catch the attention of Child Protective Services, putting her and her children’s lives at risk. With a cast that includes Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, this film offers a chilling look at darkness, possession, and the quest for a higher power.
