A blend of sports and romance, Zendaya’s tennis movie ‘Challengers’ showcases a steamy love triangle. Watch the trailer for the “Challengers’ movie, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist. The film will be released in theaters on Sept. 15.
‘Challengers’ Synopsis:
Tennis player turned coach Tashi (Zendaya) has taken her husband, Art (Mike Faist), and transformed him into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a “Challenger” event — close to the lowest level of the pro tournament — where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend (Josh O’Connor).
Tashi Duncan is a gifted tennis player who is self-assured and on the rise. The actress from the television series “Euphoria” plays the part. Her attention is on two other players who also happen to be her close friends. The three of them are depicted in the trailer as teenagers, and the plot then jumps to a later time when Duncan is hurt. She is currently married to one of her friends, yet she still harbors affection for the other.
