Get ready horror fans because Joe Lynch’s upcoming film, “Suitable Flesh,” is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2023. This horror movie is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Thing on the Doorstep” and promises to be a spine-chilling and thrilling experience.

The film stars Barbara Crampton, Heather Graham, Judah Lewis, Bruce Davison, Johnathon Schaech, and Jonah Ray. The screenplay is written by Dennis Paoli, who also wrote the classic horror films “Re-Animator” and “From Beyond.”

The story of “Suitable Flesh” centers around a once-esteemed psychiatrist who murders her young patient. She then helplessly watches her life spiral into a nightmarish maelstrom of supernatural hysteria and gruesome deaths, all linked to a seemingly unstoppable ancient curse.

Director Joe Lynch is known for his work on films such as “Mayhem” and “Wrong Turn 2.” He has stated that he wanted to update and subvert Lovecraft’s often old-fashioned sensibilities in a way that felt modern, relevant, and even dangerous. He also added a pinch of 90s neo-noir and a dash of eroticism to spice up the stew. Lynch promises that “Suitable Flesh” is a modernized love letter to Lovecraft, but also a provocatively entertaining “sin-ema” that audiences are salivating for.

The film’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival is part of the ESCAPE FROM TRIBECA lineup, which promises to showcase some of the festival’s most exciting and groundbreaking films. Horror fans should mark their calendars for the premiere of “Suitable Flesh” and get ready for a wild ride into the supernatural world of Lovecraft.

The Tribeca Film Festival 2023 is set to take place from June 7 through June 18, 2023. The festival will include a diverse selection of films, including feature films, documentaries, and shorts. In addition to film screenings, the festival will include filmmaker Q&A sessions, industry forums, and special activities.
