The first look teaser trailer for Academy Award-winning director Bong Joon Ho’s sci-fi flick starring Robert Pattinson is now available. The film is based on Edward Ashton’s 2022 novel Mickey7.
The film also stars Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo, and will be theatrically released on March 29, 2024.
The gripping first look of the film shows Pattinson playing Mickey Barnes, an “expendable” – a disposable employee, on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of its memories intact.
‘Mickey 17’ is Bong’s first film since ‘Parasite,’ which became the highest-grossing South Korean film in history and the first non-English language film to win the best picture at the Academy Awards.
