KINGMAKER (킹메이커) – Korean Political Drama (TRAILER)

Written and directed by Byun Sung-Hyun and starring Sol Kyung-Gu and Lee Sun-Kyun, KINGMAKER is a South Korean political drama that follows two personalities: a politician who dreams of changing the world, and his campaign strategist capable of bringing others to power.

Kim Woon-Bum (Sol Kyung-Gu) is a politician for the opposition party dreaming of becoming the president of the country. Seo Chang-Dae (Lee Sun-Kyun) joins Kim’s campaign staff and launches aggressive propaganda against the current dictatorial ruling party. As a result, Kim goes on to win consecutive elections and eventually becomes the presidential nominee for the opposition party.

During a fierce presidential election run, the ruling party secretly contacts Seo to win the next poll. So, when an explosion occurs at Kim Woon-Bum’s home, Seo is suspected of being the culprit.

The film is scheduled to be released on January 26, 2022.
