‘They Found Hell’ (2015) – Just An Idea, No Execution

They-Found-Hell-TV-movie

They Found Hell is about a group of college students who become trapped inside an unknown place filled with horror and despair after inadvertently opening a portal to another dimension using a teleportation device. They must find a way out while being pursued by the inhabitants of this hell-like place.

Every religion has a concept of hell or paradise, but what you see in They Found Hell is quite different. As a sci-fi film, it’s a good idea to depict hell as an alternate world in another dimension, but in the midst of the gore and blood, it never rises to be that interesting.

The film is watchable if you’re looking for something to watch on a weekend evening. This could have been much better with a better CGI effect or, for that matter, a more compelling storyline. Nonetheless, as a survival horror without jump scares, this is somewhat amusing.

When the situation onscreen demands more than just terrifying faces, a few actors’ dialogues and performances are insufficient. One interesting aspect of this film that you should notice is the make-up or costume, which certainly adds to the strange situation onscreen.
