“The Sound of Magic” – K-Drama on Netflix

Based on the popular webtoon “Annarasumanara” by Ha Il-Kwon, the South Korean drama “The Sound of Magic” is a touching story about Yoon Ah-yi, a girl struggling with the harsh realities of life who by chance meets the enigmatic magician Lee Eul and experiences a world beyond her imagination.

“The Sound of Magic” is directed by Kim Sung-youn, whose impeccable storytelling skills are shown in the hit series, Itaewon Class. He has teamed up again with writer Kim Min Jeong, who earlier worked with him on Love in the Moonlight.

With a total of 6 episodes, the musical drama series will be released on Netflix on May 6th, 2022.

Synopsis:

Yoon Ah-yi is a high school student who in the absence of her parents tries hard to support herself and her younger sister by working part-time jobs. She had a troubling childhood as her father was driven away from home by the debt collectors and then her mother left home. Considering her present situation, Yoon Ah Yi wants to become an adult as soon as possible to have a stable job. One day, Yoon Ah Yi meets a mysterious magician Lee Eul who — although grown-up — wants to remain as a kid. When she reveals her dream to the magician Lee Eul, her life will be changed forever.
