‘The Policeman's Lineage’: Korean Crime Drama

Lee Kyoo-man’s upcoming crime drama ‘The Policeman’s Lineage’ follows two policemen who have different approaches to dealing with crimes and criminals. One goes by the rulebook and believes that no one is above the law, while the other thinks that catching criminals at any cost cannot be illegal, no matter the methods they apply.

In the film, Min-Jae (Choi Woo-Sik) is a young cop who is a man of principle and always goes by the law, but his superior and well-known Kang-yoon (Cho Jin-Woong) does not mind getting to the other side of the law in order to get information using illegal methods. So, when the two cops team up for an investigation, there are bound to have some effects on the police organization.

‘The Policeman’s Lineage’— Movie Synopsis

Min-jae who is a policeman from generation to generation has been ordered to investigate Kang-yoon secretly, who is the ace team leader of an investigation team. Min-jae is appointed as a member of Kang-yoon’s team. Min-jae has the belief that if the police do something illegal even though it has occurred during the process of investigation, he is also a criminal. But while Min-jae investigates Kang-yoon, he begins to resemble Kang-yoon who has the belief that the chase of crime should be justified even if it’s illegal. Will Min-jae be able to clear his private mission and arrest Kang-yoon that he trusts and admires?
