‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ - Set for a March 20 Release

Earlier on September 25, the director and actor of ‘A Quiet Place’ John Krasinski shared a photo on Instagram showing him and Emily Blunt walking down a bridge together. He tagged this as “Well… that’s a wrap on Part II See you on March 20th!”.

So, that was a confirmation that the film is all set for a March 2020 release. Considering the huge success of the first film ($340 million worldwide), the follow-up is indeed a much-awaited one, even though we are yet to know more about the film’s storyline.

A Quiet Place 2 – Film Teaser/Trailer

A trailer of ‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ is coming on New Year’s Day. However, we have here a teaser released on Dec 18, 2019.

As of now what we have so far learned is that the film this time will have a larger fictional world with additional characters in play. While this time Krasinski will more be in his director’s chair, Blunt will be accompanied by Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, and Djimon Hounsou.

As we watched in the first part of ‘A Quiet Place’ where it was the Abbott family’s (Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s characters and their kids) struggle for survival from some kind of alien creatures that use sound to track and kill humans, this time the storyline will have more focus on the children and their effort in exploring the apocalyptic monster-infested world, as we may expect to know more about the origin of the creature or the state of the humanity.

Just to remind here is that Krasinski’s character Lee Abbott has sacrificed his life in the first film. However, we may still expect him to appear in flashbacks, if not an integral part of the entire storyline.

Nevertheless, as Krasinski had once said in an interview, the storyline will have more on how the rest of the world is dealing with the apocalyptic tragedy. So, essentially – ‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ will explain how the whole thing happened and who else has survived, and at the same time connect the family to the rest of the world.

Hopefully, the sequel will be as gripping and entertaining as the first one.

‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ is scheduled to be in cinemas on March 20, 2020.
