Gully Boy movie trailer is out: Ranveer Singh plays a street rapper

Upcoming Bollywood film ‘Gully Boy’ starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in which Singh plays a street rapper looks impressive as the actor himself has a passion for rapping even before joining the film industry.

Scheduled for a February 14 release, this Zoya Akhtar-directed film ‘Gully Boy’ would certainly be different as the Hindi film industry is yet to make a film with rapping as a theme.

In the trailer itself we see a proper story around the life and struggle of a rapper. Ranveer’s performance looks great as he is known for his open personality while expressing emotions.

Alia Bhatt plays the love interest of Ranveer and it seems she is playing a medical student. In one scene, when she is asked by her prospective mother-in-law if she can cook, she replies: “No, but if all goes well, I can successfully perform your liver transplant.”

The film will tell the journey of a rapper who strive to live his dream by breaking the monotony, in terms of family pressure and social barrier. Moreover, this is a Zoya Akhtar film. So, you can expect something extraordinary from the story with relatable true-to-life characters, drama and feel-good moments.

Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Raaz also play prominent roles in the film along with Siddhant Chaturvedi. This further assures that there will be some great performances, considering the great acting talents.
