Bumblebee – A Prequel to Transformers

Bumblebee Film

Every adventure has a beginning… so, here comes Bumblebee. The Transformers saga has more stories to be shown; this one though is a spin-off of the hugely successful movie franchise.

The recently-released movie trailer of Bumblebee is amazing to watch – as it doesn’t disappoint transformers fans and their love for the Autobot scouts.

The movie brings the most loved character the yellow-and-black Autobot scout Bumblebee, although we see there is more in the film. However, as we can imagine – there will be fewer robots and more focus on the title character.

Bumblebee takes place in 1987, 20 years before the events of the first Transformers movie (2007). So, technically- this serves as a prequel to the Transformers film.

Plotline:

“On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”

Well, the director of all the five Transformers movies released so far {the last one being Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)} is not the director of Bumblebee. It is directed by Travis Knight, who has also earlier collaborated with the animators of this film (in Kubo and the Two Strings).

We hope that this turns out to be a really good Transformers movie. At least, we can sense so from the trailer as the tonality of the film looks impressive compared to the last movie in the franchise.

Starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena, Bumblebee opens on Dec. 21 in the US and Dec. 26 in other parts of the world.
