From the Academy Award-nominated writer and director of Winter’s Bone (2010), Debra Granik, here comes an emotional father-daughter drama Leave No Trace. The trailer looks very promising that introduces us to Will and his teenage daughter Tom who have lived in the nature reserve in Oregon, mostly undetected by the authority.

Finally, when their ideal home in nature shattered, they were forced back into social service, but they have their home calling to go back to the wild homeland – but not before their struggle. They come to confront their longing for community living versus living apart in harmony with nature.

Well, that’s the synopsis of Leave No Trace and for now, we don’t have much info on the storyline. The film, starring Ben Foster and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie as the two principal characters, was screened at Sundance Film Festival and is scheduled for Cannes.

The film is based on the novel My Abandonment by Peter Rock and its screenplay is written by Granik and Anne Rosellini. Leave No Trace is slated for a June 29 release. For now, here is the movie trailer for you to watch.
