Alien: Covenant – First Look

Last updated on July 9th, 2017 at 01:19 am

So, the first look released earlier is a confirmation that Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant will have the Xenomorph creature. Now, as per last update, the release date stands as 19th May, 2017. Earlier it was scheduled for a 4th August release but now it’s been moved up for three months earlier than expected.

However, there are few more updates doing rounds on the web: one being the possible James Franco character. A fan website AvPGalaxy dropped the news (exclusively) that Franco is going to appear in Alien: Covenant. They even revealed his character as Branson – the captain of Covenant and husband of Katherine Waterson’s character Daniels.

AvPGalaxy also says Franco’s role as Branson is brief and he will only appear in the first 10 minutes of the film. Among others, Covenant will also star Noomi Rapace reprising her role as archaeologist Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, as well as actors Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup and Guy Pearce (probably in some flashbacks). Michael Fassbender will reprise his role as the android David.

Nevertheless, it’s clear now that Alien: Covenant is the sequel to Prometheus and not a prequel. This is the second of the Alien prequel series, while the 6th instalment of the Alien film series.
