Must-Watch Movies of 2015 (Jan-Jul) – Part 2

must watch movies 2015
Here is the second part of the list of must-watch movies of the year 2015. The list below includes Tomorrowland, Entourage, Jurassic World, Inside Out, Terminator: Genisys, Ant-Man, and Pan.

Tomorrowland (May 22, 2015)

Disney’s upcoming science-fiction Tomorrowland stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, and Britt Robertson. Previously titled 1952, the film was earlier believed to be just another extraterrestrial film, but recent revelations have suggested that it has nothing to do with aliens but rather a futuristic world somewhere in the present time and space that exists in the collective memory of the characters involved. Is not it sound interesting when we think about alternate dimensions or a parallel universe?

Entourage (June 5, 2015)

This is the film debut of the popular HBO television series of the same name. In fact, the film Entourage starts from where the series let off. The film keeps all the principal original cast including Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven. As we have already watched in the series, the movie will follow a fictional Hollywood movie star Vincent Chase, his childhood friends from Queens, and his trusty agent on a wild ride.

Jurassic World (June 12, 2015)

Jurassic World is set years after Steven Spielberg’s original film but this film is not directed by Spielberg (director of the first two films in the series) who is now the executive producer of the film. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic adventure and I’m sure this will receive similar reception from the audience as its predecessors in the Jurassic Park film series. The film primarily focuses on a modern time, 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park in Isla Nubar where a fully operational dinosaur theme park runs successfully to the amusement of visitors. Things go out of control when a new genetically modified dinosaur created by Park’s geneticists in order to attract more visitors turns wild on the island spreading mayhem.

Inside Out (June 19, 2015)

Pixar Animation Studios comes up with this 3D computer-animated fantasy comedy film Inside Out. Pete Docter of Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Up (2009) fame will delve into the mind of an 11-year-old young girl Riley Anderson played by Kaitlyn Dias, and create a world filled with five emotions—Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness. As the headquarter of Riley’s head guides her through everyday life, she starts facing difficulty in the new city of San Francisco where her emotions struggle to adjust while her most important emotion ‘Joy’ tries to keep things positive. The film has been named so, for the first time the makers have portrayed the inner side of the human mind with different characters with varied emotions.

Terminator: Genisys (July 1, 2015)

I don’t think there is any film franchise as entertaining yet as pestered as the Terminator franchise. Based on the characters created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd who first released the film The Terminator in 1984, Terminator: Genisys is the 5th film in the series. This film takes forward the story of John Connor and his war against machines in the futuristic world of 2029. The primary theme of the film would be based on the previous ones in which Connor’s Resistance forces and the rest of the human race battle against Skynet’s artificially intelligent machine network with numerous terminator models.

Ant-Man (July 17, 2015)

Based on the Marvel Comics superhero Ant-Man, the film is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. While Paul Rudd plays Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), the film follows thief Lang who helps his mentor Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) in protecting the technology of the secret behind the Ant-Man suit from various threats. The Ant-Man suit technology enables the user to decrease in size while increasing strength. They both must plan and commit a burglary to save the earth from numerous dangers.

Pan (July 24, 2015)

Yes, the name suggests the Peter Pan legend; however, the movie Pan offers a new take on the origin of the classic character created by playwright J. M. Barrie. The mythical action adventure follows the story of an orphan boy who is spirited away to the magical Neverland where he finds both fun and dangers and ultimately discovers his destiny—to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan. Hugh Jackman plays the villainous Blackbeard and his looks have already created a buzz in the movie town.
