Iron Man 3 (2013)

Iron Man 3

The third installment of the Iron Man franchise is not to save the world but his personal life when it got destroyed by his enemies; enemies who are on a mission to turn humans into walking bombs. But this time, it’s not mere Tony Stark aka Iron Man who can alone save us.

In Iron Man 3, you will get to see a battalion of Iron Men, some are humans and some are not when they fight against an enemy that is a lot more powerful for one Iron Man to play with his own handcrafted and personally engineered weapons.

While Robert Downey Jr. as the title character does his own stuff with excellent performance, it’s certainly Ben Kingsley, with a dual role of an evil terrorist and a drunken British soccer fan, who steals the show in those few minutes of his appearances.

Ben Kingsley as supervillain ‘The Mandarin’ from the Marvel Comic books and characterizing him in Iron Man 3 is certainly a good idea, although it could have been explored much.

As the part of Tony Stark, who has apparently made peace with him after coming face to face with his demons as well as gods and aliens in ‘The Avengers,’ finds himself unable to sleep, plagued by anxiety. The third installation explores new avenues for Iron Man 3 when he faces global terrorists.

When Stark finds his personal world destroyed by villainous Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), he embarks on a tough journey to find those responsible and sent those to rest with the help of an army of Iron Men and their enticing gadgets.

Overall, it’s always interesting to watch your favorite comic book hero alive on screen. But the whole script could have been a little edgier to complement this phenomenal cast and dazzling special effects.
